As the clock ticks down towards the end of 2021 and compare to where we were this time last year, there are strong similarities but also enormous progress with the ultra-rapid development and deployment of vaccines that show a glimmer of hope for a return to normality before too long. The path ahead is unlikely to be smooth but we are used to that now and we sincerely hope that you and yours have stayed safe and that you have managed to thrive despite everything that’s happened.
We have always had a global outlook and our products are now found in all parts of the globe, even a brief sojourn to Everest base camp. On top of the COVID experience, we finally learned what Brexit means for our UK Moor HQ and they have been taking measures to continue trading with our friends in mainland Europe in a smooth and streamlined way. Supply chain issues continue to effect populations worldwide and we are without exception, but we have been working hard to plan ahead in order to avoid any delays.
At this time of year we have taken to make a donation to charity instead of sending cards or goodie boxes. Last year we helped our NHS heroes with a donation to the COVID-19 appeal at NHS Charities . This year we wanted to share support amongst three charities that are close to us. We have been long-term admirers of Dan’s Fund for Burns and this year we will support them and also a German charity, Paulinchen e.V (https://www.paulinchen.de/english/) to support their work helping young burn victims in Germany. We have also seen the importance of microcirculation research in the fight against COVID, so we will also support our friends at the British Microcirculation society (how we’ve missed the face to face congresses!).
So, time then to wish you and yours all the Very Best of the Season. Look forward to seeing you in 2022!
All the best, All at Moor
P.S. Generally our offices will be closed on the 24th Dec and re-open on the 3rd of Jan, although some staff will be working here and there and our service team ready to help if needed.
