New website supports young people with injuries or conditions affecting their appearance

A new self-help website has been launched to support young people struggling with a ‘visible difference’, has been developed by experts from the Centre for Appearance Research (University of the West of England), UK Clinical Psychologists and the Changing Faces Youth Council.

Developed for 12-17 year olds, ypfaceit.co.uk is a free access website available to any young person who needs it, at any time. Offering valuable support, and resources to any young person struggling with an unusual appearance (a visible difference), whether it be due to a skin condition, an injury, a medical treatment or any other cause.
