FEUERBALL Verein für brandverletzte Kinder und Jugendliche

FEUERBALL is an Austrian association formed to provide help to children with burns. The association has been in existence since 1995 and is located near Graz (cultural city of Europe 2003) in the federal state of Styria. Mrs. Maria Trop is the head doctor of the burns unit of the Graz university hospital and she founded the association together with parents from Styria and Carinthia.

Mediziner, Therapeuten, Juristen, Organisationen, Forschung und Industrie engagieren sich gemeinsam mit Betroffenen und Angehörigen in unserem 2004 gegründeten Verein.

Mit rund 18 000 gemeldeten Unfällen pro Jahr gelten Verbrennungen und Verbrühungen als eine der häufigsten Unfallursachen in Deutschland. Narben sind nach tiefgradigen und großflächigen Verbrennungen fast unvermeidbar und bedeuten immer eine große Belastung für Betroffene und Angehörige.

Das Angebot von Cicatrix richtet sich an gerade erst betroffene Angehörige ebenso, wie später für den Verletzten selbst, kurz an alle, die zu diesem Thema grundsätzliche Informationen, Rat, Ideen und Kontakt suchen, konkret Hilfe brauchen.

Belgische Brandwonden Stichting

Brandwonden laten littekens. Zichtbare littekens die een levenslange zorg nodig hebben en die in vele gevallen ook sociale littekens nalaten (op school, werkverlies, gebroken relaties, vrienden die wegblijven). Onzichtbare littekens die een leven lang in het hart gegrift staan.

Stichting Brandwonden wil het slachtoffer van brandwonden en zijn familie helpen zijn plaats in de maatschappij terug in te nemen door het verlenen van financiële steun. Daarnaast voert de Stichting een intensief preventiebeleid dat er moet voor zorgen dat er zo weinig mogelijk slachtoffers te betreuren vallen. In dit kader werd een interactief preventieprogramma ontwikkeld waarin de belangrijkste aspecten van brand- en brandwondenpreventie vervat liggen.

De vzw streeft er naar om de brandwondenpatiënten en hun omgeving maximaal te ondersteunen op sociaal, psychologisch, materieel of financieel vlak. Brandwondenzorg Nederland

De Nederlandse brandwondencentra in Groningen, Beverwijk en Rotterdam hebben op alle drie de locaties speciale voorzieningen om zowel volwassenen als kinderen met ernstige brandwonden optimaal te behandelen. Deze (kinder)brandwondencentra en de Nederlandse Brandwonden Stichting werken binnen Brandwondenzorg Nederland intensief samen om brandwonden te voorkomen en de behandeling van en zorg voor patiënten met brandwonden verder te optimaliseren. Door intensieve samenwerking op het gebied van opleiding en wetenschappelijk onderzoek is hoge kwaliteit van zorg aan patiënten met brandwonden beschikbaar.
